Strategic Plan for Retriever Essentials

One-year Strategic Plan for University Food Access

This graphic represents the first strategic plan for Retriever Essentials, UMBC’s food access initiative. In my role as Program Coordinator, I led the development of this strategic plan over the course of six months, from facilitating an organizational capacity assessment, forming a sub-committee from the advisory board, leading brainstorming and action planning sessions, to gathering and incorporating feedback from key stakeholders on campus.

The circles on the graph are the main areas of the strategic plan, and the arrows coming off of those circles point to the main goals within each area. A more detailed internal document includes specific action steps that will be taken by program staff.

Because this program is new, growing quickly, and requires flexibility at this time, the plan was limited to one year and includes action items to follow up on and adjust as needed..
