Strategic Plan for a Food Access Initiative
I led the development, implementation, and evaluation of this strategic plan over the course of six months, from facilitating an organizational capacity assessment, forming a sub-committee from the advisory board, leading brainstorming and action planning sessions, to gathering and incorporating feedback from key stakeholders on campus.
Community-Based Sociological Research
As part of a course in Applied Social Research Methods, I and a small group of graduate students immersed ourselves in the Baybrook neighborhood of Baltimore, working with community-based nonprofit organizations to research community needs and evaluate a youth workforce development program.
Professional Development Workshops
As a Program Assistant for the Maryland Public Service Scholars summer internship program, I created lesson plans for and facilitated a virtual series of professional development workshops.
Statistical Analysis Paper
This paper was for a final project for a graduate-level Statistics course. Following a literature review, I used SAS software to conduct multiple regression analysis of the Voice of the People survey to investigate perceptions of safety in post-conflict Kosovo and Serbia.
Free Food Pop-up Markets
In September 2022, I responded to an unprecedented demand for food access resources on campus by developing and implementing a new food distribution program. The Free Food Pop-up Market now serves up to 250 people per week.
Retriever Essentials Student Leadership Board
As the Program Manager for Retriever Essentials, University of Maryland, Baltimore County’s food access program, I redesigned our undergraduate internship program, the Student Leadership Board. The goals of the redesign were to promote experiential learning, campus engagement, and improve the program capacity of Retriever Essentials.

In this digital story, I talk about how my love of food connects to my work in food security.
